Change Without Blame
Founded by Anyta Wilson, a licensed mental health therapist with over two decades of experience, our journey began with a simple yet profound realization – people genuinely desire to connect with those who are different from them, but often lack the tools to do so. Anyta's vision was clear: to create change without blame or shame and to establish respectful spaces where everyone's story could be heard through the most communal act we share as humans: meals. Anyta’s extensive background in workshop development, group facilitation, and therapeutic healing has shaped our approach. To have conversations with a professional present to ensure emotional safety in an enviroment carefully designed to make sure everyone leaves full in body and spirit. At The Speakeasy Project, our hope is that these experiences will create a more empathetic and interconnected world.
